Outdoor Playground Safety Inspections
While playground standards are not currently a legal requirement, it is good practice and vitally important to ensure all children are safe while at play. Schools and businesses offering play areas have a duty of care to ensure the equipment they offer remain safe, secure and fit for purpose. All play equipment should meet the EN 1176 European and British Standards.
With extensive profession experience and up-to-date regulatory knowledge relating to playground equipment (EN 1176) and surfacing (EN 1177), Living Timber offer Outdoor Playground Safety Inspections as a one-off visit or as yearly Inspection and Maintenance Packages.
We can repair minor faults or deal with minor maintenance issues quickly and safely on the day of inspection (within the maintenance package), or provide you with a very competitive price for larger repairs or refurbishments.
Our employees are highly experienced and knowledgeable and can offer you up-to-date and appropriate advice and information regarding the safety of your outdoor play areas, adhering to the EN 1176 and EN1177 playground equipment and surfacing standards. They will be able to provide you with an indication of any remedial work, if required, to ensure your play areas remain safe.
All safety inspections come with a written Inspection Report.
Inspection Packages:
- One off safety inspection with a written inspection report:
- £95.00 + VAT for upto 5 items. £3.50 + VAT for additional items (maximum charge is for 12 items).
- Yearly Inspection and Maintenance Package including a written inspection report:
- £320.00 + VAT for 3 inspections each year; minor maintenance or repairs (bolt tightening, rough edges sanded, safety caps replaced etc.); 10% off remedial works and materials if required.
